The company and it's owner
One of the most important aspects of making a purchase on the internet is to know that you can trust the company you're purchasing from. A company can only be trusted if it's owners can be trusted.
Valdi Ivancic who is the owner and CEO of Medison is a Swedish citizen of Croatian origin who is currently living with his family in Brazil, is running a global company based in the UK and plans to stand for election as Prime Minister in Sweden. He also recently applied for a full-time job as Head of Tourism in a Swedish county.
The legal structure of Medison is very fuzzy, but there appears to be at least three legal entities involved: Medison Europe Ltd in the UK, Medison Consulting in Sweden and Mastiff Technologies in Brazil. Ivancic has said that he owns 95% of the Medison company. It is not known who the other owner's are. The Medison Europe Ltd company is said to have five employees all with impressive titles as Vice President of something. Everyone but Ivancic have other full-time jobs in Sweden.
There is no way to contact the company in the case of a warranty repair or delivery issue. It has no offices and no phone numbers. The email address bounces.
Valdi Ivancic has said that the computers will be built in Asia, assembled in Brazil and then shipped to the customer. Unusually, the location and details of the Asia factory and the Brazil assembly plants are secret, thus nobody can verify if they actually exists.
Partnerships are important in the business world. Having an established partnership with a well-respected company provides some legitimacy to a start-up company. Several companies were listed on medisoncelebrity.com as "partners" of Medison. It was discovered that none of the companies had a contract with Medison, did not approve of being listed, and that Medison as of 15/8 has no signed contracts with any partners. One by one, the companies were removed from the partnership list. Ivancic has claimed the non-existing partnerships were listed on the web site by mistake.
The company that was listed on the web site as the partner for shipping, EMEA Services, has stated that they will not work with Medison. Even though we're past the original delivery date of 15/8 no new shipping partner has been disclosed by Medison.
The Medison web sites have been shown to contain many severe flaws, ranging from "mistakes" in the list of Medison partnerships to sales terms and conditions which have been judged by lawyers to be in violation of Swedish law. The web sites also has other content which is questionable, such as addresses to non-existing company offices and a Prime Minister candidacy web site.
